Brazil: soybean crop was 12.3% off target, up 6.8% from last week, Conab reported. For the same period last year, 2.1% of the area was harvested.
The harvest in Mato Grosso, the main producer of the country, was collected at 31.7% (+16.1% compared to the previous week).
The agency said that in Parana, drought conditions led to an acceleration in the harvest, which reached 8%, up 4% from last week’s results.
The sowing of the 2021/22 harvest reached 99.6%, up 0.2% from the previous week, as Maranhao and Rio Grande do Sul are still planting.
“It rained in some regions, but the scenario still assumes low soil moisture,” Conab said
