Gold prices eased toward $1,720 an ounce on Tuesday after being rejected around
the $1,735 level in the previous session,

As investors geared up for a key US inflation report which will be one of the last pieces of data the Federal Reserve

The headline inflation rate in the US is expected to slow on an annual basis from 8.5% in July to 8.1% in August.
