A significant announcement has been made by the UAE’s Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs, and Port Security (ICP) that will greatly assist individuals seeking a virtual work residence visa.
According to the ICP, applicants for the visa will no longer be required to be physically present in the UAE when submitting their application.
People who want to work remotely from the UAE can now complete the application process from wherever they are currently located, giving them more flexibility. Under the terms of the visa, the virtual work residence visa can be renewed for an additional year.
Individuals can use the smart application (UAEICP) or the ICP’s website to apply for the visa. However, in order to complete the procedures for their residence visa, the applicant must enter the UAE within 60 days of receiving the visa. The permit will be void if the applicant fails to enter the country within this time frame.
Candidates must possess a passport with a minimum validity of six months, a current photograph, and a health insurance policy that covers their residence in the UAE in order to be eligible for the virtual work residence visa.
The applicant’s registered email address will receive the entry permit.
